We are on a journey.

We have again come together today for our children tomorrow.

“Kwanįjê kʼeʼ. Ghàjenììtthʼą̀ʼ.”

“Hunji. Yetsʼin dinthí.”

“Hënähshe. Ntr’ëdëtth’ëk.”

“Ganohkhii. Nikhoodhàdhàach’eii.”

“Yaa x̱ʼanayla.át. Yee x̱ʼéix̱ tusa.áx̱x̱.”

“Gūdehdéh. Nehdzedétsʼik.”

“Hunahheeyh. Nuhdzįįtth'ek.”

“Kūnahde.  Denī̀tsʼą̄̀.”

“You are speaking. We are listening.”

This is what Yukon First Nations Leadership has told us as young people.

We are connecting with ourselves, with the land, and with our ancestors.

We are exploring what climate change really is, from our Yukon First Nations worldview.

From a place of healing, grounding and ambition, we are co-leading the creation of the Yukon First Nations Climate Vision and Action Plan.

The Vision and Action Plan will guide Yukon First Nations and other communities, governments and industry in navigating the transformation we require to “walk in a good way”.

In addressing the challenges of climate change with spirit and actions that reflect a Yukon First Nations worldview, we will together co-create a Yukon that leads through transformative climate action.
